You walk out the door,
Feeling great
The sunshine playing up your radiance
Until you see him walk past
Then stopping to say hello
You feel heat rising up to your cheeks
And suddenly your hair doesn't seem so perfect
You get a little weak in the knees
All the while
Not noticing yourself
Squirming under his kind gaze
And then he says goodbye
And told you you looked beautiful
And that's when you feel
The way you did
When you first stepped out that door
And that's when you realize
Just how much he makes your day.

I have fallen into an abyss

An abyss filled with alluring arrays of light
