Crimson Road

I am falling like autumn leaves
Floating softly, gingerly dancing
Caressed by the wind, cradled
Powerless, captured

I can feel your presence
I can feel your fingers run on my lips
Your gaze on my neck
Watching my temple jump

I hold out my arms
Like a bird spreading its wings
Ready to take flight
But I lean back

Fall
Fall
Fall

The moment before I hit the ground
I was grasped by an unknown force
I am moving in liquid
Floating, but not
Drowning but living
Entangled, but free

I walk down a mysterious road
Curiosity lured me there
I averted my eyes down the path
And only when I set my sight straight
Did I see you.
